uno, dos, tres

School is officially over on Friday. I can't even express how excited I am for this stupid year to be over. I had a health test and math test today and I am launching a bottle rocket I had to make in physics tomorrow, other than that, it's movies and more movies. In that case, I'm peacing out early tomorrow and I think a few friends and I are going to see a movie. We can't decide between Get Smart and The Happening, any suggestions? I'm also thinking about getting up to go jogging before I get ready for school tomorrow.. that means getting up at 5:00 am, but I need to start working out and get my lungs to actually work when I run. Seriously, I get to physics and I am breathing heavy. I know I have exercise induced asthma, but walking from class to class isn't really what I call rigorous activity. It's embarrassing and needs to be fixed, I just need to learn to put the time and effort into it.

New shirt from Forever21, it makes me happy.

That's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool

Prior to even finishing Robert Redfords movie-version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's, The Great Gatsby, I was truly enthused by the ensembles in this film. In the beginning, I figured it would just turn out to be another book turned into a failed movie film, but despite the fact that it could end up that way (I'm not really one to judge a film further than plot), I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the 20's era portrayed through the film. Now, I've seen Chicago, it's one of my favorite movies, but for some reason, Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly didn't provide the same inspiration-jolt effects regarding fashion as The Great Gatsby does. As soon as the first party scene appeared on the classroom television screen, I found myself making mental notes and paying awful close attention to what everyone was wearing. I have fallen in love with the Jazz Age and feel a tid bit disappointed that I was unfortunate enough to not be able to live through it, prior to the Great Depression and post WWI of course. The dancing shoes, fun beaded dresses, long beaded necklaces, the sequins headbands with feathers, cloches, carelessness, excitement, and style revolution that the flapper brought along for women are all of great interest to me, so much so that I haven't really paid all that much attention to the plot. I have officially decided that I will be a flapper for Halloween this year, I'll have to find some costume on my own of course though because the costumes that I have seen at Party City do not do a flapper justice.

So you can see just what I am babbling on about, I have reluctantly come across the perfect clip of The Great Gatsby on youtube.

For health class, we had to choose a topic from a list and create our own ad for it. After choosing the(RED)campaign, I decided to put some effort into it because I was excited about all the possibilities for my ad. I have to say, I am extremely pleased with the way it turned out. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make it into a 12x17'' poster...any suggestions?

(RED) is a program that was created by Bono of U2 and Bobby Shriver in October of 2006. Its goal is to collect money and use it to help fight the spread of AIDS in Africa. This means that by donating money, you are helping out over 22.5 million infected men, women, and children suffering from HIV/AIDS. It is extremely simple to help out- choose to.

Slow dancing in a burning room

Ah! John Mayer is coming this summer and I am super excited! I got tickets off ticket master this morning as soon as they were available. My friends and I decided on lawn seats because they are so much more fun! You can lay out a blanket and just jam, dance, lay down, I find they are so much more convenient than regular seats, even if you are a bit further away. We went to see Rascal Flatts last summer and though I'm not really a fan so I didnt know the songs, I still had a blast just messing around and meeting some hot guys, even if they were totally smashed haha.

Here are two outfits to add to this post. For school I suppose, as usual.

Tell me how you fit all that in them jeans

Ah I do not mean to be a whiner, but I hate how huge my ass is. I wish it was a bit smaller because then I would feel a little better about wearing a tube top as a skirt. Oh well, I'll just have to suck it up.

Finals are ALMOST over, just two more to go and I am ecstatic. My physics final was the worst ever, but I somehow managed to get a decent grade. Now I just have to get through the rest of the year..just a little over 20 days to go [shutter].

ha thats my dog, Roxy.

Je veux te voir

Currently watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and it reminds me of how much I hate it and that they should have stopped at the first one. I loved the first movie, got incredibly bored during the 2nd movie because they keep getting weirder and weirder. The fight scene on the island, amusing as it was, went on far too long. It's a shame to see such a brilliant and successful movie get ruined by inadequate sequels.
Anyway, these are outfits I have yet to wear. I can't even wear the shoes in the second picture because they hurt my feet too much and slip on the floor at my school.
